One way of knowing when the browser displays documents is by checking the browsers URL. Since it contains the full path to that documents filename, ending with GSP means it is displaying the document. The browser however cannot interpret GSP files so it displays them as gibberish. File extension GSP files are opened by sketchpad not browser, as they exist as binary documents. The problem suggests the web site visited was not properly configured for serving sketchpad documents. One needs to notify the author of the web site visited or the webmaster.

In case someone still needs to use the information displayed as gibberish then one has to do it manually. File extension GSP allows clicking back in the browser to return somebody to the link that took him or her to the file. Pressing and holding the mouse over the link will show a menu with link options. Selecting the save-link-as-a file option will download the sketchpad text manually to the hard drive.
